Common Core delay wins BESE approval
The state Board of Elementary and Secondary Education on Tuesday overwhelmingly approved Superintendent John White's plan to delay many consequences of Common Core's tougher mathematics and English standards for two years.
Vouchers increase diversity and desegregate schools
The Obama administration has halted its lawsuit to stop the Louisiana voucher program after research revealed it does not hurt federal desegregation efforts. However, there are fears that federal officials will keep trying to derail the program.
