Louisiana BAEO to Host School Tours on Jan. 28 & 29 for National School Choice Week

To raise public awareness of effective educational options available for low-income and working-class Black families, the Louisiana Black Alliance for Educational Options (LABAEO) will lead a series of school tours and roundtable discussions between parents, elected officials and school leaders for National School Choice Week.

LABAEO embraces a top-line goal of parental choice to give Black families the opportunity to select the best K-12 education environment for their children, be it traditional public schools, public charter schools or private schools. LABAEO believes parents know what is best for their children and should be empowered with choice.

"For many low-income and working-class backgrounds, choosing the best high-quality educational option for their children is often limited and difficult to come by," said Louisiana BAEO State Director Stacy Martin. "That's why Louisiana LABAEO is pleased to showcase great schools that are working well for our children and are models of excellence for communities across the state."
